Ards 1st XI - Captain - Janice Vaughan

One of the most successful teams in Ulster Hockey and competing at the highest level, the 1sts regularly finish as one of the top 4 teams Ulster's Senior league. The current team is a mixture of youth and experience, boasting ex-Irish International Tamara Stronge in their ranks and Katy Fraser who played for the Ulster Senior team last season. This season they have qualified for the Irish Hockey League and compete against the top teams in Ireland.

Ards 'A' XI - Captain - Heather Whitten

Like the 1st team the A's are a successful team in Qualifying hockey. Although a young team they benefit from more experienced players such as Vicky Reid and Heather Whitten. The team combined successfully to win the qualifying Plate final in April 2005. Playing on the team provides a great stepping stone to the 1stXI and many players have worked their way through the club using the 2ndXI as a springboard to playing in the Senior League.

Ards 3rd XI

The 3rd XI play in the Junior League and it is generally made up of players recently graduated from the successful Junior Club. Supported by parents and other club members, this enthusiastic band have bonded well over recent seasons and have gained promotion in each of the last two seasons. As well as attending Senior training on a Thursday night some of the more senior, talented members of the team also get the opportunity to training with the 2ndXI on a Tuesday evening for additional coaching and the experience of playing with some of the more senior club members.

Ards 4th XI

The 4ths mainly comprise of our younger members who have recently joined the club or moved up from our Junior teams. Playing in a league just below the 3rd XI both these teams showcase the development and potential of our younger club members.

Ards 5th XI - Captain - Heather White

The 5th XI also play in the Junior League and are made up of a team of club members who have, at different stages of their career, played further up the club teams. This social team, generally don't attend training during the week and only meet up to play their matches on a Saturday but have frequently confounded more youthful opposition with their skill and commitment on the pitch! For younger players playing on this team they get a great opportunity to play with players who have had previous experience on 1st and 2nd teams – a great learning experience!!!
